I appreciate that in writing this, given I’ve been involved in politics for 2 and a half years now, people may argue I’m no longer part of the new blood of people becoming politically aware and politically active during and in the aftermath of the referendum; and technically I suppose they’re right. However, when I first became interested in politics back in late 2012, I reckon someone at 16 taking an interest, never mind an active role in politics, was considered something of a rarity. In post referendum Scotland, however, it’s becoming an ever familiar sight, and long may it continue.
