Scottish Socialist Voice Forum: Socialist Solutions to Climate Change

29 June 2019 @ 11:00 am - 1:30 pm

The climate crisis is a real and immediate threat to humanity. We must act decisively and urgently to address this unprecedented threat. But if the world is to stop burning fossil fuels, we need to find other ways of heating our homes, producing our food and powering our industries. How can this be done?

The Scottish Socialist Party is determined to ensure that the lives of the world’s working-class majority are improved by our solutions to the climate crisis. History shows us that ordinary people are the most powerful agents of social change: from the abolition of slavery, to universal suffrage, to the fight for civil rights.

Solving the climate crisis requires a break with a system based on making profit instead of providing for people’s needs.

Our Scottish Socialist Voice Forum on 29th June will discuss what can be done to fight climate change and bring forward progressive solutions to the climate crisis that will make the lives of working people better.
